How to start a video chat without registration
- Open the chat page in Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge.
- Confirm that you are 18 or older and that you agree to the rules.
- Choose who you are (girl, guy or couple) so matching works.
- Allow the camera and microphone when the browser asks.
- Press Start. If you want someone else, press Next.
That is the whole process. It works the same on a phone, a tablet and a computer.
Why no registration is useful
- Less friction. A chat you can join in ten seconds gets used; a chat that asks for a password often does not.
- Less personal data. If there is no account, there is no email address or password for us to store, lose or leak.
- No commitment. You can close the tab whenever you like and nothing stays behind on a profile page.
What we still keep, and why
No registration does not mean no protection. An open video chat needs some way to stop the same people from abusing it again and again, so we keep a small amount of technical information. In short: your IP address and the country derived from it, a random device identifier stored by your browser, and basic browser and device details. These are used to enforce bans and prevent abuse, never for advertising. Bans are applied using one-way salted hashes. The full list, with retention periods, is in the privacy policy.
Video and audio are not part of that list: they flow directly between browsers and are never recorded or stored by us.
Adults only, even without an account
SpyMeLive is for people aged 18 and over (or the age of majority where you live, if that is higher). You confirm this before every chat, and an automatic age check on your device stops the chat if a person who may be under 18 appears on camera. Account or no account: what changes for you
With an account-based site you hand over an email address and choose a password before you can say a single word. That data has to be stored, protected and eventually deleted, and it links everything you do to one identity. Without registration, there is nothing like that to look after. The trade-off is that we cannot rely on an account to keep track of who behaves badly, so we use short-lived technical signals (a device identifier and an anonymised network address) to enforce bans instead. If you are banned, the ban applies to your device, not to an email you can simply replace.
Common questions about chatting without signing up
Can anyone see who I am? The person you talk to sees and hears you on camera, and that is all. There is no profile page, no username list and no way to look you up afterwards. Your name is whatever you choose to tell them, so choose carefully.
Will my chats be saved? No video or audio is recorded or stored by SpyMeLive. Text messages travel directly between the two browsers and are not stored on our server either.
Can I use it on my phone without an app? Yes. Open the page in Safari on iPhone or in Chrome on Android. If you want a shortcut, add the page to your home screen.
Who is this for? Adults who want a quick, casual conversation with a stranger, a chance to practise a language, or just company for ten minutes. It is not for anyone under 18, and it is not a dating or an adult service: nudity and sexual content are against the rules.
