Chat rules

SpyMeLive is a place to meet new people by video, from anywhere in the world. These rules apply to every conversation, in every country, and to every language.
Who can use SpyMeLive
SpyMeLive is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher (for example 19 or 21 in some places). We have a zero-tolerance policy for minors: anyone who appears to be under 18 is removed immediately, and we report to the competent authorities where the law requires or allows it.
What is not allowed
- Nudity, sexual acts or sexually explicit behaviour or content, on camera, on screen or in text.
- Anything involving, or appearing to involve, a person under 18, including any attempt to contact, groom or exploit a minor.
- Harassment, bullying, hate speech, discrimination, threats, blackmail, sextortion and publishing other people's private information.
- Content that promotes or glorifies violence, terrorism, self-harm, human trafficking or the sale of illegal drugs or weapons.
- Recording, screenshotting, streaming or sharing another person's video, audio or messages without their consent. In many countries this is a crime.
- Advertising, spam, links to other services, scams, phishing, fake profiles, and requests for money, gifts or payment details.
- Impersonating another person, using bots or automated tools, or showing pre-recorded, virtual-camera or AI-generated video as if it were live.
- Any activity that is illegal where you or your chat partner are located.
- Trying to get around a restriction or ban, for example by using another device, connection or VPN.
Keep yourself safe
- Never share your address, phone number, bank or card details, passwords or one-time codes with someone you have just met.
- Never send money, gift cards or cryptocurrency to a stranger, however good the story is. Romance and investment scams are common on video chat services.
- You can press Next at any moment. You do not owe anyone a conversation.
- If someone makes you uncomfortable or breaks these rules, press Report. You will never be matched with that person again.
Reports and enforcement
Every report is stored and reviewed by moderators. When several different people report the same user within 24 hours, our system restricts that user automatically for a period of time. This is an automated decision, and you can ask for a human to review it (see Appeals below). Serious or repeated violations lead to a longer or permanent ban. Restrictions are applied to pseudonymous identifiers of your network connection and of your device (see the privacy policy), so opening a new session does not lift them.
We cannot see or hear conversations, because video and audio travel directly between users and are not recorded. This is why reports from users are essential, and why we treat them seriously.
Appeals
If you think a restriction was a mistake, write to support@spymelive.com and tell us the approximate time, your country and what happened. We will review it and reply. Where the law gives you the right to a statement of reasons or to a complaint procedure, we will provide it.
Illegal content and emergencies
If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first (for example 112 in the European Union, 999 in the United Kingdom, 911 in the United States and Canada, 000 in Australia). We cooperate with law enforcement, and we report child sexual abuse material and other serious crimes to the competent bodies, such as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (United States), the Internet Watch Foundation (United Kingdom) and national police.
Local laws
You are responsible for following the laws of the country you are in. If these rules conflict with a mandatory local law, the law prevails to that extent and the rest of the rules continue to apply.
